Booking
- How do I book a session?
- The easiest way is online at tafily.com/booking — pick your service, choose a date and start time, and enter your address so we can confirm you're in our service area. You can also call or text us at +1 (484) 282-0966 if you'd rather book with a human. There's no prepayment; you only pay after your session.
- What hours are you available?
- We operate daily, with bookable start times from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM in 30-minute increments. That means even a late 7:00 PM start works for a 60- or 90-minute session. Weekends and weekdays are both fair game.
- How far in advance should I book?
- A day or two ahead usually gives you the best choice of times, since the pod travels a planned route each day. Same-day openings do happen — if you're hoping for one, call or text us at +1 (484) 282-0966 and we'll see if the route allows it. We never overbook to squeeze you in.
- How do I know my booking is confirmed?
- You'll receive two emails: the first arrives right after you book and confirms we've received your request, and the second confirms your appointment once your time slot and route are locked in. If you don't see the second email, check your spam folder or reach us at tafily.massage@gmail.com and we'll sort it out quickly.
- What areas do you serve?
- We serve Morris, Essex, and Union counties in northern New Jersey — 44 ZIP codes in total. We're a mobile service with no fixed storefront, so the spa comes to you. When you enter your address at booking, we'll instantly confirm whether you're in our coverage area, and if you're just outside it you can join our waitlist.
- Do you offer couples massage?
- Not at the moment — we want to be upfront about that. The pod has one heated lift bed, so sessions are one guest at a time. Many couples book back-to-back slots instead: one of you relaxes in the pod while the other waits comfortably at home, then you swap. It works beautifully, and the pod is freshly reset with clean linens between you.
The Pod
- What exactly is the Tafily pod?
- It's a black Mercedes-Benz Sprinter high-roof van converted into a climate-controlled spa pod — cream interior, warm gold LED lighting, a heated motorized lift bed, and fresh linens for every session. We park in your driveway and you simply step in. Unlike typical mobile massage, nothing gets carried into or set up inside your home.
- How much space do you need to park?
- Roughly one standard driveway spot — enough flat space for a large delivery-style van. Most residential driveways work fine, and legal curbside parking in front of your home works too. If you're unsure about your setup, send us a quick note or photo when you book and we'll confirm before your appointment.
- I live in an apartment building — can you still come to me?
- Often, yes. Since everything happens inside the pod, we just need a legal parking spot near your building — a guest space, a curbside spot, or a visitor area all work. We'd suggest checking your building's parking rules first, and if you tell us about your setup when booking, we'll figure out the best spot together.
- What happens if it rains or it's very hot or cold outside?
- You'll barely notice. The pod is fully climate-controlled with heating and air conditioning, so it's cozy in January and cool in July, rain or shine. In the rare case of truly severe weather that makes travel unsafe, we'll reach out to reschedule at no charge.
- How do you keep the pod clean between guests?
- Every single session starts with fresh linens — no exceptions. The bed and all surfaces are sanitized between guests, and the pod is aired and reset before you step in. Cleanliness is one of the biggest reasons we built a dedicated spa pod instead of carrying equipment house to house.
Your Session
- What services do you offer, and what do they cost?
- We keep the menu simple: Foot Massage for 60 minutes ($78) or 90 minutes ($108), and Full-Body Massage for 60 minutes ($88) or 90 minutes ($118). Every session includes the same pod experience — heated bed, fresh linens, and a licensed therapist. No hidden fees, and you pay only after your session.
- What should I wear?
- Come as you are — pajamas and slippers are completely welcome, since you're only walking a few steps from your door. For a full-body massage, you'll undress to your own comfort level in the pod and be professionally draped with fresh linens throughout. For a foot massage, loose pants that roll up past the calf are ideal.
- Are your therapists licensed?
- Yes. Every Tafily therapist is a licensed massage therapist (LMT) in the state of New Jersey, which requires formal training and state certification. You're welcome to ask your therapist about their license at any session — they'll be happy to share.
- Can I choose the music and temperature?
- Absolutely — it's your session. Tell your therapist if you'd like it warmer or cooler, softer or brighter lighting, different music, or silence altogether. The pod was designed to adjust to you, not the other way around.
- How early should I be ready, and what happens when you arrive?
- Plan to be reachable about 10 minutes before your start time. The van arrives a little early to park and prep the pod, and your therapist will text or knock when everything's ready. Then you just step in — no setup, no strangers in your home, and your session starts right on time.
Payment
- How and when do I pay?
- You pay on-site after your session, by cash or card — whichever you prefer. There's no prepayment and no charge to book, so reserving a slot never puts your card on the line. We think you should relax first and pay after.
- Should I tip my therapist?
- Tipping is never required, but it's always appreciated if you feel your therapist earned it. If you'd like to tip, you can add it to your card payment or hand it over in cash — whatever's easiest. There's no expected percentage; anything you give goes to your therapist.
- Do you sell gift cards?
- We don't have formal gift cards just yet — we're only a few weeks old and building things carefully. That said, you can absolutely gift a session: book it under the recipient's name and address, or email us at tafily.massage@gmail.com and we'll help you arrange it. Formal gift cards are on our roadmap.
Policies
- What's your cancellation policy?
- Cancellations are free up to 24 hours before your appointment — no fees, no questions. Since you haven't prepaid anything, there's nothing to refund either. If something comes up inside the 24-hour window, call or text us and we'll do our best to reschedule you.
- Can I book a massage if I'm pregnant?
- We'd love to take care of you, but please talk with your doctor first and mention your pregnancy when booking so your therapist can advise on what's appropriate. We don't currently offer a dedicated prenatal massage service, and depending on your stage and circumstances, our therapist may recommend waiting. Your safety always comes before a booking.
- What about my kids and pets during the session?
- They stay comfortably in your home — that's one of the perks of the pod. Since nothing is set up inside your house, pets don't need to be crated and kids don't need to be shushed; you simply step outside into your own quiet space. We just ask that the pod itself stays a pets-free zone so it remains spotless and allergy-friendly for every guest.
